Esverd

Esverd is the stage name for Albert Guillén Salas, a musician from Santa Coloma de Gramenet (Barcelona) who throughout his artistic career has collaborated on musical projects of various genres, (folk, rock, jazz, song, musical theatre), including his noteworthy work with the groups Five Mix Colors (acid jazz) y Joglars e Senglars (folk).

After working as a guitarist, arranger and composer for other ensembles, Esverd has decided to carry out his own project with the albumEfímeres.

With an academic background in jazz and classical music, Esverd has also drawn from a wide variety of styles ranging from folk to rock and new age to fusion jazz. Esverd’s music has been especially influenced by the likes of Francis Dunnery, Sting, Pat Metheny, Peter Gabriel, Nick Drake and Jeff Buckley, among others.

Since 1999 Albert Guillén has also been working as a Harmony, Musical language and Guitar teacher at the Escola de Música Moderna de Badalona (EMMB).
