Roman Gottwald is a composer and conductor out of Berlin. At 13 years old he sang as a soloist with the Berlin Philharmonic under the direction of Seji Ozawa. Later he studied violin and composition in Vienna where he specialised in composing and arranging symphonic works for cinema.
Amongst his more noteworthy projects he has worked as musical director in the Sydney Opera house, conducting for the play Boulevard Delirium.
After winning the ‘Frederic Mompou International Award’ for the ‘Young Composer Competition’ he began working as Professor of Composition at the Liceu Conservatory in Barcelona. Under his direction the film Blancanieves debuted with a live orchestra in the Gran Teatro del Liceu.
